Armon D. Turner, 85, of Judsonia, Arkansas went to his heavenly home May 18, 2023. He was born in Russellville, Arkansas on June 25, 1937 to the late Rayburn and Reba Ward Turner.
After graduating High School, Armon joined the Army reserves. He also worked as a security officer before becoming a licensed master electrician. Armon had many hobbies, including being a ham radio operator, needlepoint and antiquing, which helped contribute to his large salt and pepper shaker collection. Armon and Elvira centered their lives around the church and were very involved in every church where they attended. The last out of country was in Belize in which he was designated as the "Mission's Photographer". Anytime there was an activity at Searcy First, Armon was always there either cooking, setting up tables and cleanup. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Armon is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife of 46 years, Elvira Turner.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Paul Turner (Christy) of Austin, AR; grandchildren, Ethan Turner and Madison Turner both of Searcy, AR; cousin, Alma Vaughn (Chuck) of Kensett, AR; nephews, Wade Lawrence of Kensett, AR and Keith Lawrence of Memphis, TN, along with an host of other family and friends.
