Flora Jean Walker, 77, of Jonesboro passed away Friday, May 5, 2023 at St Bernard's Medical Center. She was born on June 7, 1945 in Jonesboro, AR to Charlie H. and Floella (Mouzy) Mounce. Flora worked at G&K until retirement. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Flora loved to play cards and board games, dance, listen to gospel music and spent a lot of time praying.
Flora is preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Stephanie and a brother, Dewayne Mounce.
Left to cherish the memories of Flora are her sons, Michael (Casey) Mounce and James Harris; daughters, Lora (Mike) Matthew, Melissa Vasquez and Cheryl Sutfin; grandchildren, Ryan, Cody, Emily, Zachary, Daniel, Jessica, Anthony and Shavanna; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Javene) Mounce; sisters, Phyllis (Jimmy) Coleman and Linda Lamar; and many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be at 11 am on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro, AR, with burial following at Philadelphia Cemetery.
Visitation will precede the service beginning at 10 am.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Andrew Prince, Daniel Vasquez, Nathan Coleman, Nemard Parnell, Buddy Gaylord and Ryan Mounce.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
