Patsy Jeanette George-Stevens of Alco, was called home to be with her Lord, May 3, 2023 at her home, after a long battle with cancer, at the age of 80.
Patsy was born September 1, 1942 at Alco and was a long time, active member of Blue Mountain Missionary Baptist Church, where she worshipped and played the piano for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Vurla Cooper George and three siblings, Eula Mae Ashley, Gertrude Baysinger of Alco and Floyd George of Viola.
Patsy is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Odis Stevens and son, Ricky Stevens (Neile, Jory and Laken) of Alco; nieces, Jean Ashley-Long, Patricia Ashley, Peggy Williams, Tammy Erby, Shelly Sanders, Sharon Berry, Melinda Williams and nephew, David Stevens and a host of other family members and precious friends.
She worked at Timbo and Mountain View for the Stone County School System until she retired. She was a dedicated employee and enjoyed her co-workers. Her favorite pastimes were going to yard sales, camping, travelling and spending time with family, friends and her dog, Sparky. She also enjoyed playing music and singing music with Odis and friends. She and Odis produced several CD's of gospel music, all for the glory of God.
Visitation will be held at Blue Mountain Baptist Church, Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 10:00AM. Funeral Service will follow at Blue Mountain Baptist Church, Saturday, May 6, 2023 beginning at 11:00AM with Brother Daryl Pitts officiating. Interment will follow at the Alco Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Dean Morrison, Cody Erby, Coy Ward, Herb Stuart, David Stevens and Lendal Erby. Honorary pallbearers are the Members of Blue Mountain Baptist Church.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of arrangements.
We send our condolences and prayers to the family. I have very fond memories of Mrs. Patsy and how she watched out for us at school while we waited for dad. I loved to hear her sing with her radio in her office and even more in church. She was a very special lady!

Patsy was such a sweet person who always embraced and welcomed us whenever we saw her. Patsy and Odis shared their love of Christ through their music and loved to share with everyone.

A life long friend .......she was the piano player at Ronnie's 2nd church that he pastored at Bethlehem Landmark Missionary Baptist Church at Thola. My oldest son was born during that time and he loved Patsy and Odis and they loved him. I will miss Sis Patsy and loved hearing her and Odis sing and especially Ronnie's favorite song. My prayers for Odis and all the family for comfort and to enjoy the precious memories.
