Charlene and Tara... I'm so saddened to hear of Dale's passing. I keep you in my prayers and I know he will be missed.
Charlene, Peggy an I want you to know that we are grieving with you. My family moved from Kansas to Walker Road in 1939 and I knew every one of the family except Carl I never met him. We were neighbors for many years. My father and older brothers used to work with Mr. Thorne helping him make molasses. Back then they were always paid with Molasses. That is how we always got our sweetness for the winter. When they moved to Tennessee for a while we missed them. When they came back they were our neighbors just across the road for a while and in various other places. I have many memories of hunting with the Thorne boys Willie, Harold and Dale and going swimming with Dale in the old swimming hole down at 'Big rock' in the swimming hole in the creek. Dale was a very good man and a Great friend to all who knew him. He will be missed by many.
Charlene & family my thoughts & prayers are with you as you go thru this time of loss. Dale was very special to me. We had some good times at work. His stories were priceless. I know how much he loved his family. May that confront you now.
Charlene, Tara, and family
I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Dale's passing. I have had many good times with the Thorne family.
I hate I can not attend the service. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May God give you comfort and peace in the days to come. Love to you all. Stephanie
Charlene and family, sorry to hear about Dale's passing but cherish those memories. Prayers for you at this time and up comping days.
I've been remembering the rescue when I was a teenage driver. The car died when I was rounding a curve on the bypass and wouldn't restart. I was afraid I might be hit by another vehicle. Uncle Dale showed up a little while after the police officer and pushed the car off the road. Then, he gave me a ride home. This is my example of what a good man he was. He went out of his way to help others.
I am sorry to hear the news. I counted him a great friend.

My deepest condolences go out to the family. My family went to church with Dale, in our younger years. The last time I saw him was at Evelyn Farmer's & husband's 50th, or 60th wedding anniversary, so it's been a few years.
Ironically, one of my best friends grew up on Walker Rd., and I bet her parent's, John and Mary McCarty knew him. Such a small world we live in.
May God comfort, and keep your family, during this devistating time.
Respectfully,
😢~Lynn~😢
