Kenneth Lawrence Powell, 72, of Batesville passed away Friday, April 28, 2023.
He was born July 13, 1950 in Flint, Michigan to L.C. Powell and Bonnie (Tucker) Powell.
Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Army as well as a Purple Heart recipient. He loved antique cars, but Chevys were his favorites. He enjoyed working on and remodeling cars with his friend, Frank.
Survivors include his girlfriend, Connie Staton of the home; sons, Scott (Karen) Powell of Jonesboro and Brent (NaTasha) Powell of Batesville; three brothers; three sisters and one grandchild, Amy (Dustin) Medlin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers are Frank Abernathy, Dustin Medlin, Dustin Mahan, Dalton Carlisle, Harley Blake and Dillion Blake. Honorary pallbearer will be Houston Blake.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Blue Mountain Baptist Church in Timbo with Darrell Pitts officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 pm Sunday, April 30, 2023 at the church prior to service.
