On this day, April 1,2023, heaven received another angel from Cabot, Arkansas. Suzie was loved and adored by many because she had a heart of gold. She was happiest when she was camping, fishing and hunting with family and friends. Suzie was in the first graduating class of Oak Grove High School where she served as student body president, then went on to work her entire career for the State of Arkansas. She had a passion for flying and even received her pilot's license.
Suzie was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Naomi Burks Gibbs and her sister, Flaura Reed. She is survived by Don Curtright, whom she married in 2022; her son, GeorgeDavid Ridings and his wife, Jennifer; her brothers, Jimmy Gibbs and his wife, Allene and Billy Gibbs; her sister, Leslie Pruss and bonus daughter, Andrea. Suzie has three grandchildren, Phillip, DavidLee, and GeorgeAnthony; two bonus grandchildren, Dallas and Bailey; four great grandchildren and one bonus great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 11 am-12:15 pm, Friday, April 7, 2023 in the chapel of Roller Drummond Funeral Home with a 1 pm graveside service following at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
So sorry to hear of Suzie's death. Her dad and my grandpa were brothers and in earlier times we were all fairly close, but sadly lost touch over the years. Condolences to the family.
Suzie was so sweet. She was my mom's neighbor across the street and we got to know her and Don. She will he missed. Prayers for Don and the family.
I met Suzie and Don less than 2 years ago. When I moved into the neighborhood, Suzie treated me like she had known me forever. She was a very precious lady and will be missed by all that knew her. God Bless you Don and the family. We will keep you in our prayers.
Well Angel😇, I hope you watch over me from Heaven. You were such a joy to visit with!! I truly loved our dinners or our random phone conversations. The words of wisdom you have shared with me will be missed. You were an inspiration, I am glad that I got to tell you to your face not to many weeks back how much I looked up to you. We met Don and Suzie at Merrisach lake. While trying to back our camper in. Been friends ever since. They even visited us a couple times in our home. They came to blue mountain camping and fishing with us. Suzie will be missed by all, but never forgotten. Love you Suzie. Till we meet again. â¤ï¸
I am very sorry too hear that David's Mom past away. But,I know that she is in a better place. And she is not in anymore pain. David your Mom will always be your Angel looking over you and your family.
