Linda (Long) Mealer, 80, of Newnata, Arkansas passed away on March 29, 2023. Linda was born March 26, 1943 in Fairview, Arkansas to the late Raymon and Gladys (Powell) Long.
Linda is survived by her husband, Gerald (Mack) Mealer; daughter, Kimm (Todd) Avey; son, Kris (Benita) Mealer and stepson, Bryon Mealer. She was Gran/Granny to eight grandchildren, Jared Boswell, Nick (Jessica) Boswell & Kaitlin Boswell (Randall Head), Nicole (Mark) Hitchcock, Ashtyn (Gatlin) Edwards, Briana (McClain) Edington & Britney (Chase) Hochard and nine great grandchildren, Taelyn King, Asia'h Mealer, Adyson Carnahan, Ryker, Fynn & Pyper Boswell, Kamden Mealer, Maya & Lyla Hochard.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymon and Gladys (Powell) Long; stepson, Randy Mealer; grandson, Matthew Mealer and parents in law, Leamon and Martha Mealer.
Linda enjoyed being with family, gardening, reading, playing piano, going to church, creating floral arrangements, fishing, holidays and talking on the phone. She was saved at a young age and a member of Timbo Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
Linda had a servant's heart. She served God, her church, her community, her beloved family and their families fiercely with great love and care. She left a lasting legacy and will be missed greatly.
Visitation is Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 5:00-7:00PM at Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services are Monday, April 3, 2023 at 10:00AM at Timbo Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Timbo, Arkansas with Brothers Cody Moore and Johnny Wayne Williams officiating. Interment will follow the service at Big Springs Cemetery in Newnata, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Nick Boswell, Jared Boswell, Bryon Mealer, Todd Avey, Randall Head, Gatlin Edwards and Kenneth Gaines. Honorary pallbearers are Timbo Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to local cemetery funds of choice.
Roller Coffman Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of arrangements.

Linda, was a wonderful person. I remember her when I was a young girl, she was always doing something to help me, whether it be to give me clothes or do my hair. If the clothes needed alterations, Linda's mother Gladys would alter them for me. I would spend the night at Linda's and she would take me to the ballgames. For me, that was a treat! I will forever be grateful to her and I will never forget her and all she did for me! Rest in peace, cousin.
