Melba Charlene (Fitzhugh) Highfill passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the age of 90.
Melba was raised in Carlisle, Arkansas, one of 9 siblings of Edison and Grace Moore.
Melba is preceded in death by her parents and 8 siblings, Colleen Burnett, Walsie Jennings, Loretta Seymore, Lucille Moore, Peggy Lucas, Marilyn Tefteller, Wilburn and Eddie Moore; daughter, Keila Sample and her late husband, Howard Highfill.
She is survived by her two girls, Jan Dowell (Jim) and Denise Fechner; Grandchildren, Shelly Phifer Vaughn (Brent), Tara Fechner Mitchell and Grandson, Tyler Fechner (Brittany); Six Great-Grandchildren; Three Great-Great Grandchildren and lots of Nieces and Nephews.
The memorial service will be Friday, March 31, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home located at 6700 Alcoa Rd, Bryant, Arkansas 72015.
