Billy G. Person, 80, of Searcy, AR went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2023. He was born October 15, 1942 in Flint, MI to the late Ernest Lee and Alta Simmons Person.
Billy was a deacon at West Point Baptist Church for over 40 years and his love for God showed through in everything he did. He was a loving husband and father and a shining example for his community. Along with his church involvement, he was a 32nd degree Mason. He also worked for the Searcy Water Dept. for 42 years. Billy loved spending time outdoors, hunting and enjoying time with family.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Garretson and Minerva Sanders.
Left to cherish Billy's memory are his beloved wife of 60 years, Susan Sanders Person; sisters, Frances Person Merritt and Janet Person (Billy Martin) Hieber; brother, Robert D. (Janie) Person; daughters, Kellie (Terry) Burnett of Osceola, Nina (Kevin) Taylor of Judsonia, Jill (Tim) Fouse of Searcy; grandchildren, Garretson Taylor, Molly Taylor (Tim) Jones, Macy Fouse, Meg Fouse; great-grandchild, Willis Taylor; many nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
