of McRae, AR
March 15, 1961 - March 15, 2023
Jim Allen Lunsford, 62, of McRae, Arkansas went to be with Our Lord and Savior on March 15, 2023. He was born in Denver, Colorado to the late Walter Wendell Sr. and Julia Dean Carr Lunsford on March 15, 1961.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Martha Carol Lunsford, Mary Harris and Patricia Norman, his sweetie. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Joshua (Ashley) Lunsford, James (Susan) Lunsford and Caitlin Campbell; nine grandchildren, Jacob, Jackson, Jackie, Hudson, Jordan, Julia, Austin, Kaitlin and Makayla Lunsford; two brothers, Wendell Lunsford and Paul (Betty Jo) Lunsford; two sisters, Wanda Lunsford and Paula (Richie) Gay; his lifelong friends, David and Teresa Goff, along with his nieces, nephews and other extended family and many friends.
Jim graduated from McRae High School and later worked for Wal-Mart Distribution Center for 23 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing and NASCAR Racing. He was an avid Arkansan who loved calling the Hogs, no matter what sporting event it was. But the biggest love of his life was just sitting on his front porch, cooking everything on his grill and taking the day in with his favorite people, his family, especially his sons and his grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in July to observe his favorite holiday. All arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy, Arkansas.
