Hannah Elizabeth Parker, 90, of Clarksville, AR died Saturday, March 11, 2023 in Russellville, AR. She was born March 28, 1932 in Glouster, Ohio to James L. Sr. and Elizabeth (Leybourne) Rankin. Hannah was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had a special love for her grand and great-grandchildren. Hannah was an avid quilter. She was a member of the quilting group at Spadra Methodist Church. Hannah was also fond of fishing, bowling and gardening. She worked for the Forestry Commission, the Soil Conservation Service and traveled many places with her husband, Charles, while he was serving in the Air Force.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Alfred Parker; her parents, James L. and Elizabeth Rankin; three brothers, William Rankin, Robert Rankin and James Rankin and two sisters, Sarah Rankin and Josephine Rankin.
Hannah is survived by her son, Alan B. Parker; one grandson, Benjamin A. Parker and wife, Nicole; one granddaughter, Katherine E. Travis and husband, John; five great-grandchildren, Charles Parker, Madalynn Berryhill, Jamie Travis, Bella Parker and Arianna Travis; two sisters, Mary Docie and Shirley Roberts and numerous other family and friends.
A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2023 at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville. Bro. Bob Powers will officiate. Alan Parker, Benjamin Parker, Wayne Peden, Kevin Morse, Phil Parker, and Mitch Parker will serve as casket bearers.
We didn’t get to see you often but I will always cherish the time we saw you and uncle Charles at your home. You are loved
I’m so sad to hear about Aunt Hannah’s passing. I had planned on visiting her this June to go fishing with her, but sadly it wasn’t meant to be.
Hannah was an incredibly gifted quilter and seamstress, who made amazing things. She will be missed.
