Beverly Joan (Hunt) Evans, 79, of Guy, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 11, 2023. She was born in Newport, Arkansas on May 20, 1943 to Charles Woodrow and Opal (Malone) Hunt. Joan was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She was a master seamstress who enjoyed sewing for her family throughout the years and had in recent years learned to quilt with the "quilting ladies" at church. She also enjoyed taking a yearly trip to Branson with Sr. Saints. Joan was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert Lee Evans, parents and brother-in-law, Carroll Wayne Wilson.
She is survived by her children, Bob (Renee) Evans, Rick (Jeana) Evans and Beverlee (Ryan) Edwards; eight grandchildren, Alysha Evans, Cassie Evans, Kaylyn Evans (Prasanth Matikana), Coleton Evans, Will (Vanessa) Morrison, Bethnee (Dakota) Foote, JewelAnne (DJ) Heffentrager, Emmie Edwards; five great-grandchildren, Millee Foote, Grady Heffentrager, Barrett Heffentrager, Noelle Morrison, Henry Morrison; sisters, Jeanette Wilson and Judy (Ron) Ivie; sister-in-law, Betty Hubbard; brother-in-laws, Jerry and Tommy Evans, and numerous nieces; nephews; family and friends.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 11:00am at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Guy, Arkansas. Visitation will begin one hour prior at 10:00am. Burial will be at 2:30pm at Oak Grove Cemetery in Weiner, Arkansas.
Beverly and I were classmates at Newport. We rode the same bus for a while and were in most of the same classes.
I will miss chatting with her on FB!

Mrs. Joan will truly be missed. She was a Christian woman and had a heart of gold. Her smile and her sweet voice was one of a kind. Bless her family and friends.

Met Joan at Mt Olive Baptist Church when living in AR and attended that church. She was a gentle soul. She will be missed. Looking forward to the day when all of us who know Jesus will be together again for all eternity. Praying for the family.
