Mary Jo Higginbotham, 90, of Joiner passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. She was born in Wardell on Janurary 15, 1933 to Joe and Mary Ashburn. Mary Jo worked as a secretary for Lee Wilson for many years and was member of Joiner Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing canasta with her card club, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. Mary Jo is survived by her sons: Blaine (Terri) Higginbotham, Joe (Cory Cook) Higginbotham; grandchildren: Todd (Jennifer) Higginbotham, Brooke (Bishop) Whitley, Ryan (Katie) Higginbotham, Lauren (Jordan) Cordray, Alyssa Larue; great grandchildren: Noah, Xander, Alexa, Jax, Reid, Chandler, Drake, Beckett, Cole; sisters: Alice Ann Spears, Eva Carol "Sissy" Barber and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Ray "Bo" Higginbotham; brother, Sonny Ashburn and sister, Charlene Davies. A visitation will be held at Roller-Swift Funeral Home on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with the funeral following at 11:00 am. Interment: Ashburn Musick Cemetery. I'm so sorry for the loss of Mary Jo.. I just looked and noticed she had passed away.. l loved her very much!! She was a wonderful lady !! We've laughed together many times..
