Devaughn Hale, 87, of Pottsville, Arkansas died Saturday, February 25, 2023 in Russellville, Arkansas. He was born October 29, 1935 in Hagarville, Arkansas to William Henry and Louanna (Freeman) Hale.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lavania T. (Cooper) Hale; two brothers, J.C. Hale and Wayne Hale and one sister, Wilma Lee Daniel.
Devaughn is survived by one son, Ronald Hale and wife, Becky of Lamar; two daughters, Carless Teeter and husband, Danny of Pottsville and MaryAnn Hale of Lewisville, Texas; four grandchildren, Leann Jenke and husband, Carlton of Lewisville, Texas, Brooks Teeter and wife, Jennifer of Pottsville, Amy Murders and husband, Eric of Clarksville and Justin Hale and wife, Caitlin of Bentonville; fourteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Leon Hale of Ward and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2023 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lee's Chapel in Lamar, followed by burial at Annie's Chapel Cemetery. Pastor Dewayne Holland will officiate. Ricky Freeman, Justin Hale, Cameron Teeter, Clayton Teeter, Robert Teeter and Baylor Murders will serve as casket bearers. Dale Freeman, Melvin Keylon and Johnny Keylon will serve as honorary bearers.
