I m so sorry for your loss. My brother Howard and wanda Heron were neighbors for years.
My deepest condolences to the Yarberry family. I remember Lonnie well and thought the world of him. My husband John held Lonnie in the highest regard. Coon hunting was his favorite pastime. They had some good stories to tell.
Lonnie, although not blood related was very much a part of the "Hope" family. He was one of my dad's closest friends. (Jerry Hope) His kindness and friendship touched not only only my dad's generation, but mine and my sister, and our children's as well! Any time we cooked a meal dad would always say "Well I think I'll take ole Lonnie a plate" Perhaps it was just an excuse to see him which he did almost daily! He will be remembered fondly and missed by many for sure.
Uncle Lonnie. You will always be in my heart as my big brother. A great friend who always lived within walking distance of me and always avaible to go hunting for lizards and grasshoppers at first then birds rabbits and squirells. And fishing and swimmng in streams ponds and lakes. You always had a huge muscular physique and looked to be at least two yours older than your age. You were my parent as we rode down town on a public bus starting when u were 8 and I was 6. We watched 2 cowboy double features. After four movies we ate a burger at Bonas Eat Shop near Center Street and caught the 6 o'clock bus home. Every Sat
every summer for Years. What a friend and Uncle u were to let me tag along. Later you came to be known as the Mabelvale
Gentle Giant .
A huge tall powerful footballer and bqsketballer who refused orders to â¹go out there and knock people down and run over them saying I am not going to hurt those little boys!. You were deservedly loved and admired by all who spent any time woth you
More friends than anyone I ever knew.
You will be missed and often thought of by all your many relatives and friends. Farewell my great friend and big brother.
