Verlin Ray Traughber, age 80, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Monday February 13, 2023 in Springfield, Missouri.
Verlin was born January 20, 1943 in Wardell, Missouri to Marlin and Sylvia Juanita (Dollins) Traughber. He had lived in the area for the past 11 years, coming here from Las Vegas, Nevada. He was an avid hunter, Assembly of God by faith and he also enjoyed singing gospel music while he was at home. Making knives was one of his favorite past times.
Mr. Traughber is survived by one son, Verlin Pardon (Sherry) of Virginia; two daughters, Tammie Tilmon (Roger) of Lebanon, Missouri, Linda Traughber of Las Vegas, Nevada; six brothers, Charles Traughber of Dexter, Missouri, Doyle Traughber of Georgia, Jimmy Traughber of Bloomfield, Missouri, Jack Traughber of Michigan, Rick Traughber of Texas, Tim Traughber of Idaho; three sisters, Carolyn Traughber of Thayer, Arkansas, Ali Traughber of Benton Harbor, Michigan and Nelda Williams Traughber of Missouri; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Julie; two sons, Donald and Michael and his sister, Jeanne Crest.
