Julian Charles Mahaney, Jr., 70, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023. He was known as Chuck by his friends and Uncle Chuck by his many nieces and nephews.
Chuck served our country and retired from the United States Navy. He also served in civilian life as a Police Officer in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. Before his disabilities, he was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, golfing and traveling when he could. He loved animals and his pets were always rescues. Known for having a big heart, he was always helping others and was an amazing artist.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving mother, Zelda Mahaney; sister, Linda Mahaney; step-son, Joshua Kreger; granddaughter, Autumn Kreger; grandson, Dakota Kreger; former wife, Shelle Kreger; niece, Amanda Garner (Jeff) who has helped him so much; nephew, Dr. Jeff Semeyn (Shona); niece, Tracy Martin (Kevin); uncle, Leon Green (Elizabeth); cousins, Ron "Bud" Moore (Sandy), Redda Livley, Jay Johnson, Carolyn Hansen (Danny), Rick Robinson (Linda), Kathy Johnson (Warren), Cindy Wright (Steve), Sandra Powers, Charlie Hackett (Anabel); lifelong friends, Don Onderdonk, Barney Morrison and many other great nieces and nephews that he loved.
Mr. Mahaney is preceded in death by his father, Julian Charles Mahaney, Sr.
Funeral Services for Mr. Mahaney will be 2PM Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas. Visitation will be one hour prior with Brother Spencer Cromwell officiating. Interment will follow at Rushing Cemetery near Rushing, Arkansas. Pallbearers are veterans of the Stone County Honor Guard.

It's really to hard lose the best friend that I ever had . He was not only a veteran brother , he was a brother to me !! Rest in Peace brother ! Fair winds and following seas !!! You are sadly missed !!!!
So sad to here the passing of Chuck. So many good memories. Enjoyed visiting him in Mountain View. Had planned on visiting in May to see him.
Rest in peace Chuck. You will be missed dearly.
