Albert Wayne Luebker, 81, of Fayetteville, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the Willard Walker Hospice Home surrounded by his family. He was born on August 2, 1941 in Stuttgart, Arkansas to Albert Henry and Edris Marie Diemer Luebker. He and his wife, Mae Ann resided in Joy until just recently, when due to health issues they moved to Northwest Arkansas to be closer to their son. He was an active member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Joy.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Patricia Collier; one brother, James Luebker and one daughter, Penny Luebker. He is survived by his wife of 60+ years, Mae Ann Hampton Luebker of Fayetteville; one son, Justin Luebker of Cave Springs; one sister, Barbara (Robert) McCarley of Conway; one brother, David (Sylvia) Luebker of Little Rock, along with many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Wayne worked for Caldwell Feed in Rose Bud for many years, until he retired, as a truck driver and a heavy machine operator. Wayne would plant a garden every year for Mae Ann to tend and put up the harvest they received that year. He loved to do woodworking projects and was very particular with his work. He loved to bring out the beauty of the grain in the wood in each piece. The thing that he loved the most was his family and loved being in his home in the little community called Joy. Even just recently he was asked where he was from and he told them he was from Romance.
Services are scheduled for Visitation to be Monday, January 30, 2023 at 1:00PM followed by the Funeral Service at 2:00PM at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home. Interment to follow at White County Memorial Gardens, Searcy.
