Ronny Vernon Nelson, 70, died Tuesday, January 10, 2023 in Clarksville. He was born September 4, 1952 in Coral Gables, Florida to Frances Claire Ponder and Vernon Wallace Nelson. He is one of six children. He attended North Miami Senior High School and graduated in 1972. He had a degree in computers. He also had a career in granite for many years.
Some of Ronny's favorite things in life were reading, playing the saxophone, sailing, drawing, crafting miniature sailing ships, oil rigs and statues. He enjoyed listening to jazz music. He was always searching for the truth in life and its meaning, regarding spiritually. Whatever he learned, he loved to teach others his findings. He was a member of the Rosicrucian's at one time. He had a love for Egypt, the pyramids, gods and goddesses. He loved making jokes and in the best of moods, he would break out in dance. He loved nature and praised the universe. Most of all he loved his family and children deeply. He cherished spending his time with them all.
He is survived by his sister, Frances Gail Nelson Allison; brother, Robert Jaburg Sr; his 6 children, Veronica Sue DeCourcy, Jessica Billene Nelson, Bibiana Marie Nelson, David Lynn Nelson, Raymond Alexander Nelson; step daughter, Theresa Isabel Hargraves; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and Ex-wives, Carolyn Schreibvogel and Dora Linda Hernandez.
He is preceded in death by stepdaughter, Amber Nicole Stinson; grandchild, Jade Lyn Nelson and his brothers, Danny Wallace, Johnny Lloyd and David Thomas.
He was a great uncle with so much love in his heart. He gave his all to his family and was always there when you needed. I will forever miss his charm and care that he had for all of us. Maybe we'll see each other again, Uncle Ronny. You were one of a kind.

Ronny was one of a kind and I enjoyed having him as a resident and then seeing him and his lovely sister on the nature trail. We had many a lively discussion and he loved my turquoise jewelry. I will miss seeing him even in passing saying hello. RIP.
