Stephen Frank Tustison Jr., 77, of Mabelvale, AR, passed away on January 7, 2023. He was born on December 1, 1945, in Bakersfield, California to the late Stephen Frank Tustison Sr. and Ethel Maxine Ethridge Tustison.
Stephen was the owner and operator of Southwest Electric, in which he worked jointly with his son, Michael, and son-in-law, Joe. He was a husband to his beloved and late wife, Brenda of 53 years. Stephen was a father, grandfather, brother, and master electrician. Stephen enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially cherished the time he spent throwing the football around with his grandson, Jonathan. Stephen was a dedicated member and lived the Alcoholics Anonymous way of life for 48 years sharing his knowledge and wisdom with countless men and women.
Stephen was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Tustison, son, Michael Tustison, daughter-in-law, Amy Tustison, brother, Richard Tustison, brother, Phillip Tustison, and his parents.
Survivors include daughter, Stephanie Purvis (Shara), grandson, Jonathan Purvis, son-in-law, Joseph Purvis, sister, Barbara Alexander, brother, Joseph Tustison (Virginia), sister-in-law, Evelyn Smith (Steven), and brothers-in-law, Richard Hendricks and Allen Hendricks, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Little Rock, AR on January 19, 2023, at 12:00 pm. Interment for both Stephen and Brenda will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Alexander, AR, at 3:00 pm.
Jody and Ginny, I’m so sorry for your loss. Some of my happiest times were with your family including Stevie and Brenda. I know you will miss him. My thoughts are with you today.
Stephanie, I know it's hard to lose both parents and also your brother. My heart is with you. I loved your Mom & Dad and we shared lots of laughs years ago. They are certainly good people.
We’ve known Steve since junior high school and though we haven’t seen much of each other over the years, he will always be someone we remember with love & respect. Our thoughts & prayers go from our hearts to his family.
Steve had great character. He was always willing to talk and guide me. He will be missed.
