Tyana ''Joyce'' McCracken James was born January 27, 1935 in Flippin, Arkansas. She passed away Sunday January 8, 2023 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Joyce went to school in Flippin. She enjoyed re-uniting with her graduating classmates at least once a year. Bill and Joyce moved to Kansas City for about 40 years. There Joyce followed the career path of accounting/bookkeeper. They retired back to Flippin, where they lived the duration of their lives.

Joyce was a long standing member of First Baptist Church of Flippin. She attended bible study at Yellville First Presbyterian Church. Joyce volunteered at Marion County Library. She was an active and contributing member of the Marion County Heritage Society. She was honored and proud to be asked to be the Grand Marshall of the HoliDazzle Parade.

For fun, Joyce enjoyed the companionship of her Red Hat Ladies. She also loved gardening, to read and she was a "collector" of many things. .Joyce was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan; she always tried to catch the game.

Joyce was a devout animal lover. Any and all animals. However, her pugs were her "babies".

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" James of 51 years. Pearl Osbourne McCracken and Clark McCracken, her parents, also preceded her in death, as did her brother "J.C.".

Joyce was loved and will be missed. "Toodles" dear friend.

Visitation for Joyce will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday, January 13, 2023 at Roller-Burns Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Aaron Lindsey officiating.

Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery near Flippin.
