V. Evelyn Williams, 95, of Batesville, AR passed away Friday, January 6, 2023. She was born October 29, 1927 in Amory, Mississippi to W.H. Sandy and Leola Sandy of West Memphis, Arkansas. She was married to the late, Harold E. Williams of Walnut Grove, Arkansas. She was a member of the Quail Valley Freewill Baptist Church of Batesville. She began working outside the home when her youngest child started grade school. She retired from General Tire and Rubber Co. in 1984.
She loved reading, working in her flowers, collecting dolls and cooking for her large family. In the evening you could find her listening to the Gaither Gospel Singers while singing and clapping along with the music. She loved her church and her Lord. She read her bible every morning and prayed for her family and friends as she started her day. She was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her five children, Carol Pinkston (Larry) of Cave City, Donna Lee (Thurman) of Batesville, Larry Williams (Helen) of Cord, Debra Williams of Batesville and David Williams (Phyllis) of Cave City; ten grandchildren, Dana Dauzat, Derrick Jenkins, Heidi Roberts, Shay Tuten, Holly Williams, Joshua Lee, Lori Doyle, Danial Lee, Megan Hooper and Amanda Williams; fifteen great-grands; three great-great-grands; one sister, Helen Matlock of Batesville and one brother, Edward Sandy (Patsy) of Southaven, Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Williams of 60 years; one daughter, Barbara Williams; one granddaughter, Brandy Tuten; three sisters and two brothers.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, January 9, 2023 at the Center Grove Cemetery in Charlotte, Arkansas under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Brother Robert Jones presiding. Pallbearers are Derrick Jenkins, Joshua Lee, Danial Lee, Trevor Clark, Colton Carter and Gary Dauzat.

Aunt Evelyn was a beautiful soul. She was very special to me. She will be missed greatly. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the family. Love to all.
