James Edward Brewer, 76, of Mountain View went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 2, 2023. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, Paw Paw and friend.
James was born in Pleasant Hill, AR to Dexter and Ethel Brewer on April 8th, 1946. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from April 1966 to February 1970 as a Sergeant, stationed in San Antonio, TX, Plattsburgh, NY, Vietnam and Cheyenne, WY. He was a truck driver for over 40 years, retiring in 2008 to spend more time with family and friends.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Dexter and Ethel Brewer; son, Jimmy Brewer; brothers, Laudis Brewer, Donald Brewer, Delldon Brewer, Eldon Brewer; sisters, Lovrie Hightower, Oneida Morrison, Nelta Faye Upton and Irene Fletcher.
James is survived by his wife of 55 years, Deloris Brewer (Dee Dee); Daughter, Denise Brewer; Son, Jason Brewer and wife, Katie Brewer. Grandsons, Evan and Eli Brewer; Sister in Law, Anna Brewer; Brother in Law, Bob Upton and Brother in law, Eldo Fletcher.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, January 5th from 6pm-8pm at Roller Crouch Funeral home. Funeral services will take place at 2:00pm Friday, January 6th at Antioch General Baptist Church with Marvin Sutterfield and Dylan Stewart officiating. Interment will be at Rushing Cemetery in Rushing, AR immediately following the services.
Pallbearers will be Jim Brewer, Roger Rorie, Gary Brewer, Terry Morrison, Fred Fletcher, Darin Brewer, Lance Bonds and Gary Martin. Honorary Pallbearers are Kevin Brewer, Art Beach and Danny Orr.
Roller-Crouch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
