of Batesville, AR
September 23, 1946 - December 22, 2022
Berylene "Birdie" Hill, surrounded by her daughters and son-n-law, went home to be with the lord on December 22nd, 2022 at the age of 76. Birdie was known for many things, from being a phenomenal matriarch and friend, to being a firecracker and the life of the party, always lighting up the room. Regardless of the interaction, it was impossible to leave her presence without a smile. Birdie's friends and family will always remember her kind and generous heart. Her passions included her family, cooking, fishing, music, watching basketball, playing cards, attending church and admiring the world around her from her porch. Her memory will live on through the countless lives she has impacted.
Birdie is preceded in death by Mary Brickey Settle (mother), William Brickey (father), Lyle Settle (brother) and Bob Hill (husband). She is survived by her sister, Dolores Walters Moore; her three children, Melissa Rosson, Michelle Zumwalt (Billy), Michael Blue along with the father of her children, lifelong friend (ex-husband) Louis Blue. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Madisen (Jamey) Morrison, Jacob Green, Jordan (Kristy) Blue, Bradley Rosson and Stephanie Carroll and nine great grandchildren.
Memorial services will begin at 11:00am Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Harrison Street Church of Christ.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00am Saturday, May 27, 2023 at the church prior to the service.
You are loved, missed and will always be remembered my Dear Friend!â¤ï¸
Birdie was a precious person with a great spirit fly high my sweet friend love you forever
Dear Birdie you are one of the most beautiful people I have ever got to meet. The best mom and friend anyone could have. I am so blessed to have found Michelle to be my forever friend and that I got to have you in my life as well. I loved you as my own and just wish I could have seen you more. I know you are now the angel you have always been but you will be missed. Your laughter will always be with me. I will miss you. I love you!
Birdie was my niece and I loved her very much. She was such a beautiful person,
Inside and out!
She loved to dance, I am sure she is dancing in Heaven with the angels.
Did not realize that Birdie had passed away. I was so shocked and sorry to see her obituary. Rick Hambrick (my exhusband) and I were some of the first people that Louie and Bertie met when they moved to Batesville. She used to kid me that they knew they should have moved back after that! We met at the baseball field and spent many a night together. Birdie and I immediately developed a deep affection for each other. She was one in a million and I will miss her. Prayers for her family. She loved all of you so much.
Birdie, you will be forever in our hearts! You are very loved!!!
I will miss Miss Birdie sitting behind me in church. She was faithful to come any time her health permitted. Her smile always lit up the room. Praying for the family.
Birdie and I were coworkers. I remember as always kind and full of life. She always had a smile or hug available. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. My deepest sympathy to her family. Prayers for God's comfort and peace to surround you all.
I Love you cus. You will be missed by all.
Birdie and I worked together at the power plant several years. Birdie was a kind, loving and sweet lady. I loved her very much and counted her as a very good friend. I miss her already. We are praying for her family and friends. We'll meet again one these days.
Birdie was such a genuinely sweet woman and I am so thankful to have known her. She was loved by many and will truly be missed. Prayers for comfort and peace to her loving family.

I have so many good memories of Bird. We danced in the halls at work, even with no music. We've been on many excursions and oh so many laughs. Your family was very blessed to have her as a mother and grandmother. She loved y'all dearly. Prayers for your family.
Birdy will be missed by many. I have so many childhood memories of this sweet lady that I thought of as my second mom. I hate I did not get to say goodbye but I know she is in a much better place no more pain. My mom I'm sure met her at those pearly gates. I love you Birdy. Will miss your sweet smiling face ðŸ™â¤ï¸
