Raoul Webster Spragg, 97, of Batesville passed away December 18, 2022.
He was born January 30, 1925 in Long Pine, Nebraska to Elliot W. Spragg and Ruth (Hill) Spragg.
Raoul was a retired farmer and a member of Cord Baptist Church. He loved building things and had a shop full of tools to work on things.
Survivors include one daughter, Karen Craft (Ken); one brother, Scott Spragg; two sisters, Muriel (Peggy) Cole, Shirley Newton; two grandchildren, Steve Craft, Nathan Craft (Mendy); three great-grandchildren, Natalie Craft, Brianna Blakley, Aspyn Craft, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Donald; three sisters, Legathel, Rula, Ruby; and one great-grandson, Blaine Blakley.
Pallbearers are Bobby Dunehew, Steve Lightsey, Lackey Moody, Chuck Osborne, Mitch Sharp and Larry Williams.
The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Wood-Lawn Heights Nursing Home and Caring Hands Hospice for the excellent care they have provided for our family member and for the kindness and compassion shown to our entire family.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 2:00pm at Cord Baptist Church with Bro. Jeff Childers officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:00pm until 2:00pm prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cord Baptist Church, P.O. Box 126, Cord, AR, 72524.
