I am the oldest child of Robert and Celestia Hoover. My mom and Jimmy were first cousins. His dad and my grandmother, Beatrice Thomas Goff Brown were brother and sister. My mom had many cousins, but claimed Jimmy as her very favorite cousin! Mr. Thomas was my last link to that generation and to my grandmother's generation. I came through Conway Saturday and thought of Mr. Thomas and set aside today to go through my dad's old cell phone to get his number since dad passed in September of 2021. Today when I located the number, I called the cell number and it has been disconnected and so I google Mr. Thomas and was so saddened to learn of his passing. I am so sorry for his family. I very much would like to talk with someone in the family to ask some questions about the past, that I only have fond memories of my grandmother and my mom's stories they told. If someone in the family sees this, I would be in forever debt to you if you could call me and just spend a moment or two with me on the phone. (501) 628-8604. Again, I am so sorry for your loss and continued prayers to all of you today.

I’m so sorry to hear of Jimmy Earl’s passing. He was my first cousin (his mother Pauline and my mother Jewelle were sisters) and it seemed we visited them more than any other family members when we were young. But it was when we were older, I loved hearing his stories in that quiet slow drawl of his. And he didn’t forget anyone or anything.
I’m glad he is no longer hurting, but we will really miss him down here.
Our hearts and prayers will be with your family
Merle I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Jimmy! He was my favorite Horse Shoer! I set on the back of that tailgate many days watching him shoe my horses. He always called me sis! I have some stories to tell ya! Love you bunches Merle an I will be praying for you! RIP Jimmy
I have known Jimmy since we were little boys. His mother and my mother were cousins, so Jimmy and I were cousins. I remember visiting at his parent's house and visiting with Aunt Annie (Jimmy's Grandmother) who lived with him and his parents. I remember him from Greenbrier school days...even though he was a few years older but he was in my sister's class, so we were cuzs at school too. Rest in peace cuz, for your work on earth is done. Prayers of comfort to Merle and Family! Bob and Margaret Acre😊ðŸ™ðŸ»
