January 1, 1926 - December 14, 2022
Beatrice Ricks Jordan went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 14, 2022 at the age of 96.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Elisa Weatherly Ricks; her husband of 51 years, Raymond E. Jordan and two baby sisters. She is survived by her children, Oletta Margison and son-in -law, Bill of Bryant, Martha Styers and son-in-law, Dean of Little Rock and Dennis Jordan and daughter-in-law, Bobbie of Benton; six grandchildren, Rhonda Rogers of Bryant, James Rogers of Mabelvale, Raymond Styers of Greenbrier, Jeff Styers of Alexander, LeeAnn Jordan Rhodes of Gurdon and William Jordan of Benton; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.
She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, where she loved her church and her church family. She has missed them terribly the past three years.
Bea was born in Prairie County Arkansas, the first child born on the first day of January in 1926, weighing in at two pounds. She grew up in the Hunnicutt and Walters Chapel community, riding her horse to school and attending a one-room school at Walters Chapel. She was baptized in Wattensaw Creek in the early 1930's. She loved crappie fishing at Overcup Lake, working in her yard, making a garden and going when her friend, Billie Huitt said "Do you want to go?" She would always reply, "Let me get changed".
Her family would like to thank the staff at ALCOA Pines for their care and love these last eight months and the staff of Kindred Hospice of Hot Springs for their love and constant prayers.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Pine Grove Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
