Lois Willodean Chatterton, age 93, passed away on December 11, 2022, at Hospice of the Hills. She was born on November 13, 1929, in Boone County, Arkansas to Berry B. and Cora Jane (Tomlinson) Young. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, Arthur Gene Chatterton; her brother, Doyle Young, and her sisters, Stella Hudson and Freida Hudson.
Willodean was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was a faithful member of St Paul Methodist Church of Harrison, AR. She had a passion for taking care of her family, cooking, and traveling and she was an avid dominoes player. Her kindness, courage, and warm heart showed through to all who knew her.
Willodean is survived by her daughter, Linda Greenhaw, and her husband, Jerry of Harrison AR; her son, Bill Chatterton, and his wife, Judy of Harrison, AR, and her daughter, Diann Terry COL U.S. Army Retired of Harrison, AR. She is also survived by her grandsons, Mark Greenhaw of Little Rock, AR, and Grant Greenhaw and his wife, Rebecca, of Flippin, AR; grandson, Shiloh Lyons of Harrison, AR; granddaughter, Jamie Briggs and her husband, Stephen of Sherwood, AR and grandson, Aaron Terry and wife, Tessa of Andrews, South Carolina; Donna Sherrill of Russellville, AR; Christi Martin of Bentonville, AR and her brother, Tom Young. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Samantha Greenhaw, Kenna Greenhaw, Anya Lyons, Rocky Lyons, Jacobi Briggs, Derrick Briggs, McKynzie Briggs, Dakota Terry, and Ellie Terry.
The graveside service was Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Maplewood Cemetery in Harrison.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church located at PO Box 355, Harrison, AR 72601.
Willodean was like a second mom to me growing up. She has fought a hard battle and has now found her peace and rest. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

Aunt Willodean always has held a special place in my heart. I loved seeing how her and my Grandma (Freida) were the best of friends and sisters.
Willodean was a sweet, loving lady with a contagious smile. Glad she has reunited with her loved ones and is in the presence of our Lord! God bless her loved ones with His comforting peace.
I am so very sorry to hear of Wilodean's passing. I know there is such rejoicing in heaven with Gene and all her dear family and friend who welcome her there!
