Freida Joann Barnes, age 74, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022 in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Freida was born in Nofork, Virginia on December 30, 1947 to Thomas Ralph and Nina Katherine (Forehand) Brace. She had been employed as a truck driver. She had lived in the area since 1995 and was a member of Lighthouse for Jesus Tabernacle in Yellville. She loved caring for her family and grandchildren. Gardening and reading were favorite pastimes for Freida. She had a good sense of humor and was considered outspoken. She never met a stranger.

Frieda is survived by her son James Barnes (Mayra) of Marshall, Arkansas; her daughter, Melissa Dowden (Todd) of Yellville, Arkansas; her brother-in-law, Rick Baker of Yellville; her niece, Renee' Keys of Yellville; her grandchildren, Mike Dowden, Nash Dowden, Jace Dowden, Ella, Aubrey, Hunter, Caleb Barnes, Aiden Barnes, Anna Barnes, Ameila Barnes and her great-grandchild, Thomas Lee Dowden
