Eddie Ray Wallis, age 76, of Harrison passed away at home on Friday, December 2, 2022, after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. The son of Harrace F. and Alice L. Wallis, he was born in Yardelle, Arkansas on June 27, 1946.
Eddie was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served his country in the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Draughon's Business College in Springfield, Missouri. He started his career at Claridge Products in 1969 and retired in 2014 as a Credit Manager after 45 years of employment.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sue (Tate) Wallis, of Harrison; his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Cindy Wallis of Farmington, Arkansas; his daughter, Renee Wallis of Harrison; his brother and sister-in-law, Bud and Betty Wallis of Omaha, Arkansas; two grandkids who were the light of his life, Kylie Wallis and Kegan Wallis of Farmington; an aunt and uncle, Joanne and Bob Estes of Harrison and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home of Harrison.
The funeral service was Wednesday, December 7, 202, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home of Harrison.
The interment was in Sand Hill Cemetery at Yardelle, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were Mike Wallis, Scott Edwards, Logan Edwards, Lance Fausett, Cody Tate, and Travis Kegans.
Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Rex Wilson, Wayne Cone, Bob Cason, Harry Wagoner, and Terry McCutchen.

Dear Sue, Jason and Renee, you had the best dad and husband in the world. I've had the best neighbor for nearly 50 years. I will fondly remember his master gardening skills. He will be missed. Blessings for all of you in the days ahead.
