Margie Meharg, 83, of Pleasant Plains passed away Friday, December 2, 2022.
She was born Sunday, January 15, 1939 in Pleasant Plains to Bowman and Lona (Carson) Rickett.
Margie was loved by all who knew her. She touched many lives as she continued her ministry as a pastor's wife even after the passing of her husband. In later years, when she could no longer visit people in person, everyone looked forward to receiving a phone call on a birthday or anniversary. She sent cards for all occasions and always sent a thank you card to anyone who did anything for her, no matter how small. She supported her church and loved her Lord. We will miss her, but her witness and influence will continue through those whose lives she touched.
Survivors include one son, Sherwin Meharg (Bani) of Pleasant Plains; two daughters, Carla Sample (Glen) of Pleasant Plains and Reisa Bryant (Doug) of Pleasant Plains; five grandchildren, Paige Langle (Brandon), Taylor Meharg (Kassie), Jeremy Sample, Clint Siler (Kala) and Lindsey Nichols (Billy); eight great-grandchildren, Brantley, Maddox and Beckett Langle, Kam and Kori Meharg, Caden Siler and Brody and Hallie Nichols; as well as several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert Meharg; one brother, Charles Rickett and one sister, Gwendolyn Pennington.
Pallbearers are Jeremy Sample, Clint Siler, Taylor Meharg, Brandon Langle, Billy Nichols and Caden Siler. Honorary pallbearers are Brad Rickett and Glen Gordon.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 5, 2022 at the Independence Missionary Baptist Church at 10:00am with Wesley Roberts and Jerry Chandler officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 4, 2022 at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.

Whether it was at school or on the phone or anywhere else, Margie was always the
same—A sweet, loving Christian lady. I am sure she had times of disappointments and discouragement, but she never showed it. She had a beautiful smile and it spread to her eyes. Margie will be missed by many people for years to come.

To the family: I am so sorry for your loss. Oh the reunion that is going on in Heaven right now. She's back with Bro Herbert and so many who have gone on before. I can see the smile on her face as she visits those family and friends and sees her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
