of Lead Hill, AR
December 20, 2004 - November 13, 2022
Aaron Jones, 17, of Omaha, Arkansas gained his angel wings on Sunday, November 13, 2022. He is now safe in his home in heaven. Aaron lived his life here on earth to the fullest. His family truly believes that God has larger plans for him. His knowledge, sense of humor and quick wit were just too much for this world.
Aaron is survived by his parents Rickie and Tonya of the home and siblings, Bobby, Landon, Ciana, and Laykn. Grandparents, Sally and Jerry Fisher, Rick and Rosa Jones. Great Grandparents, Zelma Jones, and Elmer Deters. Great Uncles, Steve Deters and Gary Deters; Uncle Robbie and Aunt Tanya. Cousins, Janessa, Kolby, Wesley, Elvie, Baylee, Cade, Robbi Jean, Carson, Sydney, Reagan. My closest friends are Tuff Anderson, William Grey, Bo Lange, Kaleb Carlton, Daniel Terry, and Mason Husser. As well as Grandma Sheila Nichols, Brother Jordan and family.
Aaron is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Debbie Garrison and Dorris Price, and Grandfather, Dean Nichols.
Aaron was always the light of every place he went. You never knew what was going to come out of his mouth if he started a sentence with "Hey you wanna hear a joke?" or "Did you know?". Aaron was so talented in many ways but one of his largest accomplishments was learning to play "Sweet Home Alabama" on his guitar. Special thanks to Randall George for the lessons. He loved reading, writing, playing video games and spending time with family on the farm, Tucker Hollow Farms. He got such a kick out of pestering his siblings with his quick wit and sense of humor when they were supposed to be working. Most of all he was the best big brother and protector. He was never a complainer and was always there to help in any way he could. He was always greeting everyone with a smile. Aaron was a student at Omaha High School and was attending vocational classes through North Ark College. He had his future all planned out after graduation, he wanted to enlist in the Air Force.
Why do we have no answers or reasons as to why God has bigger plans? We are grieving and filled with so much pain, but we loved you so much, son. We have always been and will always be so proud of you. We will carry you in our hearts and will live through your smile, the blue glasses and the famous line, "Hey wanna hear a joke?". Till we meet again, may you be at peace and playing "Sweet Home Alabama" on the streets of gold.
Services were Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at New Hope Church in Omaha. Visitation was prior to the service. We ask friends who would like to share a story to please prepare one as we have a special time set aside for that.
Interment followed at Peel Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mason Husser, John Chrisman, Josh Hickembottom, Charles Fickes, William Grey, and Samuel Edwards. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Main, Landon Jones, Robbie Jones, Jerry Fisher, Kolby Burnett, Cade Anderson, and Tuff Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund has been set up at CS Bank in Harrison, in memory of Aaron, for a 2022-2023 Omaha High School senior.
