Mary Catherine Schluterman, 74, of Subiaco, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 in Sherwood, Arkansas. She was born on August 17, 1948 in Paris, Arkansas to her parents, Lawrence and Cecilia Bauer.

Mary Catherine was retired from Cloyes Gear Company and was a member the St. Benedict Catholic Church and Mother's Society. She loved to bowl and play bingo.

She is preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Bauer and one brother, Larry Bauer.

She is survived by one daughter, Darlette Ewing and husband, Kevin of North Little Rock; one son, Dwayne Schluterman of Sherwood; her mother, Cecilia Bauer of Paris; her companion, Anthony Frederick of Subiaco; two sisters, Margaret Forst and husband, Louie of Alexander, Arkansas and Evelyn Bauer of Paris; two brothers, Richard Bauer of Paris and Tommy Bauer and wife, Dava of Paris; three grandchildren, Shelby Lynn Rogers and husband, Alex, Preston Schluterman and Paige Schluterman and one great granddaughter, Emma Rogers.

Rosary service will be held at 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Subiaco.

Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2022 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Subiaco officiated by Fr. Mark Stengel, O.S.B.. Inurnment of cremated remains will be held at a later date at the St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery Columbarium.

Arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.

Mary Catherine was known by many monks of the Abbey as the “life of the party” as she helped prepare mailings. Her good-hearted banter kept all entertained. She was a kind and good soul.
