I wish I had read the obituary sooner. I would have come to the viewing. I am very sorry about your loss. I believe seeing the picture that Claudie Ray was a young man I met back in the 1950s.
My mom and dad had a cafe on Scott St. near Terry Dairy. Several of the guys who worked at the
dairy would eat lunch there. I was dating one of them and that is how I met Claudie Ray. Another one of the fellows was Dwight and another they called “Unc”. There were others but I cannot recall their
names.
If I recall correctly Claudie lived on Scott St. He had a maroon colored car and he tried to teach me how to drive, but I never could figure out how to drive a manual shift car. I have found a couple of pictures of Claudie that I will take to Roller Owens to be forwarded to Claudie’s family.

I will miss Claudie Ray. He was a great brother in law. On a recent phone call I told him “Claudie, I want you to know that I love you”. His reply was “I know you do, and I love you too”. He and my sister, Lorene, always made me feel special. I miss them both.
