Beatrice Mae Powers, age 81, of Harrison passed away Saturday, October 29th, 2022 at The Springs of Harrison. She was born November 8th, 1940 in Harrison, to Samuel and Zola (Riddle) Edmonson. Bea is preceded in death by her loving husband, Mitchell Powers; her parents; her in-laws, Hulen and Mildred Powers; her brothers, John A., Howard, Jack, Samuel, Marion (Sonny), and Fred Edmonson; her sisters, Dorthy Harris and Juanita Johnson.

Bea was a member of Eagle Heights Baptist Church. She married Mitchell Eugene Powers on September 19, 1958, in Harrison. Bea worked with Mitchell in the trucking industry with Luna Truck Lines for 17 years and was a homemaker. She enjoyed painting and crafts. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Bea is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Randy Jackson of Harrison; her son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Chele Powers of Franklin, Tennessee; her grandsons, Corey and his wife, Cindy Jackson, Jacob Powers, Josh and his wife, Becca Buchholtz; her granddaughters, Andrea and her husband, Jessie Johnson, Madison Powers, and Catherine Diprima; her great-grandsons, Kyler Cackley, Chase Jackson and Austin Johnson; her great-granddaughters, Molly Powers, Calynn Jackson and Sabryn and her husband, Austin Wilson, and three great-great-grandsons, Ryker, Wylder, and Bexley; her sisters, Barbara Harness and Martha Smith; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James "Mouse" and his wife, Marilyn Powers; a special family member, Tammy Powers, and many nieces and nephews.


Visitation was Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

The funeral service was Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

The burial was at Maplewood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Randy Jackson, Corey Jackson, Jessie Johnson, Jacob Powers, Luke Adams, and Jacob Little.

Honorary pallbearers were the staff and nurses at The Springs of Harrison.
