Frances Nichols, 76, of Benton, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 24, 2022. She was born in England, AR to Marion and Mary Kauffman Hackaby.
For many years, Frances was a member of the clerical staff of the V. A. Hospital. She was an avid reader and treasured the time she had to read. She enjoyed the time she spent making memories with her grandchildren.
Frances will be greatly missed by her husband, JW Nichols; her daughters, Melinda (Steve) Meeks, Michele (Ross) Bonner and Monica (Robert) DeTuncq; her son and grandson, Jeff Nichols and her sisters, Marysue (Scott) Slack and Darla Heidleberg. The grandchildren she loved so much include Eric Staton, Britney and Adam Ladd, Evan and Sam DeTuncq, Matt and Josh Bonner, Justin Nichols and Tasha West. She also had nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Frances will be Thursday, Oct. 27 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Her funeral service is at 11:00 A.M. Friday, Oct. 28. The location of the visitation and funeral service is Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home, 6700 Alcoa Rd., Benton, AR 72015. Frances will be laid to rest in Hardin Cemetery, White Hall, AR following her funeral service.
