We are sad to announce the passing of J. Dean Konings VerGow, 68, on October 19, 2022. Dean attended North Little Rock High School and graduated from Hendrix College.
She later obtained a Masters in Environmental Education from Murray State University.
She is survived by her husband, Tom VerGow; mother, Janie Margaret Konings; father, Louie Konings; step mother, Linda Konings and sisters, Tina Parker, Lisa Schoonmaker and Debbie Taylor.
The world has lost a beautiful soul and one of God's earthly angels. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A memorial visitation will be at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, NLR on October 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), or Habitat for Humanity, in memory of Dean VerGow.
Tom we are shocked and saddened to hear of Dean’s passing. She was a bright, beautiful and kind woman with a glow about her. It was always a pleasure to spend time with you both. You and your families are in our thoughts and prayers as you move through this very difficult time.
I am saddened to hear of Dean's sudden passing. My deepest sympathy goes out to Tom and all of those who loved her. Her vibrant presence will be greatly missed. She was a kind a generous woman.

I first met Dean when we went to Levy Elementary School. We did continue school together through graduation at NLRHS. Dean was always so kind, talented and beautiful. Even though we did lose contact, I thought of her often. So very sorry to learn of her death. My sincere condolences to her family.
