Wanda Whitson, 85, a resident of Paris, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Ashton Place Health and Rehab in Barling.
She was born September 27, 1937 in Paris to the late Boyd and Zenia (Henson) Masingale. Wanda spent her working years at Tyson Foods in Clarksville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paris, where she was active with several groups.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and John Masingale.
Survivors include her daughter, Kim Gaston and husband, Jim of Fort Smith; two grandchildren, Tyler Gaston of Indianapolis, Indiana and Leslie Gaston and fiancé, Chris Freeman of Van Buren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Paris, with Rev. Harlin Brewton officiating. Burial will follow in Baxley Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.

Wanda was such a lovely woman, a true southern lady. We will miss her in our Sunday School class. She was a faithful member. My sincere condolences to Kim and all the family.

We were neighbors of John and Pat.
We visited often when she visited John. She was a very sweet and kind lady and will be missed.
