Just heard about Don. So sorry to hear that we lost him. Don was a fine man, one who really “walked the walk.” Sad to say, not many of his quality left in this world today. May he Rest In Peace.

Donnie, Kenny, Jiulie and all,
We are heartbroken over Donald ! He was such a blessing to us all. He was good and kind and helpful to the whole family. Mama always loved him. He would make it a point to come and see her just about every time you all came to Clinton. He had that Lewis way of “thinking “ before answering a question. He will be with Your mom now.
Love you all

To the family of Don Lewis: I am saddened by your loss and am so glad that I was able to talk to him and sing him "Happy Birthday" just a few weeks ago. And had a nice conversation with him. He sounded good, so I was sadly surprised to hear he passed. I'm glad he's reunited now in heaven with wife Louise and any other family gone before. Prayers going up for the family.

It was a pleasure to know and serve in the office at 47th St. Baptist Church. Spent many a hour listening to his “war” stories in the office @ 47th. Will be looking forward to seeing him in heaven. He like I was unable to serve our Lord as we got older. He now rests in the arms of our Lord.

It was a privilege to know Don. He was an extremely kind man. One cannot think of 47th Street Baptist Church without thinking of Don Lewis.
