Selma E. Pinson, age 69, of Heber Springs, Arkansas left this life on September 13, 2022 She was born to the late, James Berkau and Verla Berkau Wilson on July 25, 1953 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Agnes Pinson; father-in-law, Vernon Pinson, Sr.; sister, Mattie Copeland and husband, Mac; brother, Lloyd Davidson and brother, James E. Pinson, Sr.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon E. Pinson, Jr. of Heber Springs; daughter, Lavern E. Raley of Mabelvale, Arkansas and husband, Jay; son, Vernon E. Pinson 3rd of Little Rock, Arkansas and wife, Kathleen; grandsons, Tony D. Kifer, Jr. of Little Rock and fiance, Ali Clark and Michael D. Kifer of Mabelvale, Arkansas; granddaughter, Hannah R. Kifer of Mabelvale, Arkansas; grandsons, Cameron Jacob Isaac Pinson of Little Rock, Arkansas, Alexzander Jessie Levi Pinson of Little Rock, Arkansas; sisters, Hazel Kelley of Roland, Arkansas and husband, Billy, Sr., Beverly McCall of Hensley, Arkansas and husband, Eddie, Lela Davidson of Roland, Arkansas, Virginia Scarberry of Hensley, Arkansas and husband, Joe Sr., Angel Overstreet of Bauxite, Arkansas and husband, Steve. She also had numerous nieces, nephews and friends that were all loved and special to her.
Her funeral will be a graveside service at Jones Cemetery in Redfield, Arkansas on September 24, 2022 at 12:00 pm with Billy Kelley, Sr. and Steve Overstreet officiating. Viewing will be on September 23, 2022 at 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, (501) 455-5800.
Vernon, thank you so much for calling me last night. I was hoping that you were going to tell me that you two would be attending our 50th High School Reunion. No, God had plans for Selma to be at a reunion that can not compare to the earthly one!! The most wonderful and amazing reunion of all!! She was reunited with her loved ones but most of all she was in the presence of the Lord!! We always loved Selma. Many prayers for you and your family!!
So sorry to hear this. Selma was loved and appreciated by all of us, her Vilonia classmates.
