Alfred Carl Schiefer, 93, of Fox, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Mountain View, Arkansas. Alfred was born March 14, 1929 in Fox, Arkansas to the late Matthew and Saly (Kocher) Schiefer.
Alfred was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mountain View, Arkansas. He served 26 years in the United States Air Force. Alfred loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman with his good friend, Dwight Davis.
Alfred is survived by his five children, three sons, Michael, Christopher and Philip; two daughters, Teresa Overturff and Catherine Matt; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; four siblings, Bernard Schiefer, Anita Sutterfield, Bernadine Burroughs and Phyllis Flannigan, along with many extended family and friends.
Alfred was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Lela Mae Sauer Schiefer and his parents.
A graveside service is Saturday, September 10, 2022, 2:00 PM at Fox Cemetery in Fox, Arkansas with Father Phillip Reaves officiating.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.

Sorry to hear of Al 's passing , thoughts & prayers go out to you all. My dad served with him in the Air force & also work after he left the Hospital. My dad thought a lot of him & got to met with you all a couple of times. Wanda (Wade) Sutton.
