Everett Harold Mason, SR., 92, of Wheatley, Arkansas passed away after a short illness on August 27, 2022. Harold was born November 15, 1929 to John Bailey Mason and Louella Rudd Mason. He was raised in a small farming community outside of Wheatley.
Harold was united in marriage to Betty Jo Nash on September 9, 1950. They were blessed with three children, Betty Lou, Everett Harold Jr. and Terrence Hall. Family time was very important to Harold. He was lovingly known as Harold, daddy, Uncle Harold and ''Paw Paw'' and looked forward to family gatherings, fish fries, holidays and birthday parties.
Harold started his career at John Deere in Brinkley. He eventually began to farm, where later his sons joined him. They worked together for many years farming and operating Mason Brother's Trucking. He spent his last years before retirement running HTH Parts in Brinkley. Harold was an active community member of Wheatley United Methodist Church where he served on multiple committees.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leon Mason; sister, Patsy Dabbs; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Mason and grandson, Robert Hall Mason.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Betty Jo Mason. Children, Betty Lou Bull, Hal Mason and wife Betty and Terry Mason. Grandchildren, Stacy McFall and husband Brian, Jay Brady, Nancy Hornsby and husband Chad, Bo Mason and wife Katie, Melissa Brady and Mark Brady and wife Vicki. Great-Grandchildren, Tyler Mason and wife Skylar, Carly Mason, Raven Stovall, Chad Hornsby and wife Miranda, Hunter and Taylor Marshall, Katelyn and Gunner Mason and Mason and Everly Brady. Great-Great Grandchildren, Blake, Rosiland and Josie Mason, and Harley Marshall. Sister, Saundra Spears. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Pallbearers are Bo Mason, Jay Brady, Mark Brady, Hunter Marshall, Taylor Marshall and Tyler Mason.
Honorary Pallbearers are Gunner Mason, David Thompson, Dean Nash, Curtis Nash, Dicky Baker and all of his nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Wheatley United Methodist Church, with Pastor Chad Everette Hornsby officiating. Visitation hour will be held that morning at 10:00 am with Memorial Services starting at 11:00 am. Memorials may be made in Harold's name to Wheatley United Methodist Church.
