Larry Laverne Smith, age 69, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022. He was born on Sunday, November 9, 1952 in Trenton, Arkansas to the late Fred Stanford Smith and Lucy Ilene Smith. Larry enjoyed hunting, gardening and spending the holidays with his family. He spent his days here on earth driving a big truck and working for an asphalt company.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Diane Smith; one daughter, Tina Smith (Brad); one grandchild, Summer Smith; three brothers, Fred S. Smith Jr. of West Helena, Arkansas, Terry Smith of Clarksville, Arkansas, Johnny Smith (Tammy) of Lexa, Arkansas and sister, Mary Pearson (Rondy) of Letona, Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Katherine Ann Stotts.
A graveside for Larry Laverne Smith will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Brad Smith, Jimmy Downs, Bobby Purvis, Gene Self and Jamie Finley.
