Billy Charles Harris, age 78, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022. He was born on Saturday, September 25, 1943 in Blackton, Arkansas to the late Ace Harris and Willie Dunigan. Billy was a member at the Lexa United Methodist Church and of the Masons. He enjoyed spending time with his friend, Ricky Tinsley at Twin City Barber Shop and watching westerns. He was a part time deputy sheriff for the Phillips County Sheriff's Department, worked for the Helena Fire Department and was also a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Clark; two sisters, Betty Holland (Kenneth) and Barbara Wadkins (Sonny); two uncles, Ronald Dunigan (Martha) and Roger Dunigan (Sherry) and best friend, Ricky Tinsley.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Mike, James and Carl Dunavan.
A funeral service for Billy Charles Harris will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel in West Helena, Arkansas. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service time. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena, Arkansas. Brother Kenny Lee will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Matt Parker, Ricky Tinsley, Rickey Davidson and Joe Bragdon.
Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.

Sorry to hear about Mr. Billy. My God give you strength to go through this. Mr. Billy was a wonderful man, always smiling. He will be messed by many. RIP Mr. Billy
