of Heber Springs, AR
October 27, 1943 - July 29, 2022
William Lawrence Flowers entered his eternal home on July 29, 2022 at 1:20 AM in Heber Springs, Arkansas. He was born on October 27, 1943 to W.P. and Dosha Ray Flowers in Mississippi County, Arkansas.
William was a Baptist by faith and attended First Baptist Church in Heber Springs, Arkansas with his wife, Shirley Sue Flowers.
He served in the Army National Guard of Marianna, Arkansas and founded Flowers Construction Company at Elaine, Arkansas more than 40 years ago, where his goals were to provide a living for his family and especially to help farmers in Phillips and surrounding counties with their grain bins, farm shops and pivotal irrigation needs. His next goal was to provide jobs for his many employees over the 40 year span.
William was awarded many, many honors, three of which are mentioned here: 1) Fourth Highest Selling Dealer in the Southeast Territory of North America in 2013-2014. 2) Third Highest Selling Dealer for North America in 1992; and 3) Second Highest Selling Dealer for North America in 1991, all by Reinke Manufacturing Company of Deshler, Nebraska. However, most of the time, William was simply too busy to open or look at any plaques, saying ''just store them'' and never hung one up. Plaques were not his goals, but helping farmers was very important to William.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.P. and Dosha Ray Flowers.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Shirley Sue Flowers of Heber Springs, Arkansas; his son, William David Flowers of Helena, Arkansas; two brothers, Dr. Bobby Flowers of Memphis, Tennessee and Charles (Cathey) of Aubrey, Arkansas. William is also survived by Shirley's children who loved him dearly, Chad (Kim) Cruce of Mountain View, Lana (Woody) Ables and Amy Cruce both of Heber Springs and Carla Neiss of Seattle; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to a Charity of your choice.
Funeral Service will be held on August 2, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Heber Springs Funeral Home, with the Interment to follow at Cleburne County Memorial Gardens. The arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy, Arkansas.

Uncle William will be missed very much by me and my family. Annabelle loved crawling into his lap as he snuck her marshmallows to eat I remember him giggling with her as she was sitting on his lap being fed. He had a smile that will never be forgotten. Love you all so much and praying for you all.

His wife, Shirley, and all of his family have my deepest sympathy. He was a hard worker and accomplished so much.
William was a very good friend of Bill's family for many years. He and Charles would go home with Maw and Paw Neighbors after church in Marianna. When he married Shirley we became friends again at First Baptist Church in Heber Springs. Our love goes out to Shirley and her family. Condolences to all those family and friends that he loved.
