MARY ELLA EGGERS
July 1, 1938 '''' June 28, 2022
Mary E. Gramling-Eggers, 83, of Stone County, AR passed away peacefully in her home June 28, 2022. Her daughter and son were at her side.
Mary was born July 1, 1938 to Boyd and Inice Richardson in Marcella, AR. She grew up in a loving Christian home and enjoyed spending time with her beloved brother, Don Richardson, and other family.
Mary attended Pleasant Grove School until 1954, and graduated from Coachella Valley High School in Coachella, CA in 1956. After graduating she attended Secretarial School in Little Rock, AR and began working in a department store.
On June 8, 1958, she married Arthur J. Gramling, a USAF veteran. Mary became a strong, independent, devoted wife and mother to her children, Tina and Billy. She worked as a homemaker and at the Base Exchange in the Sewing Center occasionally. She was happily married 24 years until Arthur's passing in 1981.
Mary obtained her Real Estate License and later became a Real Estate Broker in Jonesboro, AR during the 1980's. These were difficult times in the Real Estate business; however, Mary made a successful living due to her strong work ethic and ability to work with all types of people. She continued this work until she exchanged her career for the caring of her elderly parents.
On August 13, 1993, she married John Fredrick Eggers, a retired US Army Colonel. John and Mary enjoyed their time together traveling the country, gardening, and being involved with their Church. They were happily married for 9 years until John's passing in 2002.
Mary continued to be active in Church and was a member of The Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She volunteered countless hours at Dorcas House for many years until her health began to decline. In later years she focused on spending time with her family, traveling, and crafting. Her determination to live a productive, happy life in spite of her health was an inspiration to her family and friends. Mary was not a complainer; she was a doer. She continued to sew and craft until shortly before her passing.
Mary Ella is survived by her daughter, Tina Sutton-Thomas, (Pete) of Montgomery, AL, her son Bill Gramling, (Reta) of Marcella, AR, her step-daughter, Kitten Wagner (Klaus) of East Windsor, NJ, her step-son, John Wesley Eggers (Mary) of Bremerton, WA, 9 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great-Grandson, and other beloved family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Don Richardson (Jane), her husband Arthur, and her husband John.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM, July 30, 2022, at The Marcella Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will follow from 11 AM '''' 3 PM, at The Pleasant Grove Community Center.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Stone County Humane Society Shelter and/or The Pleasant Grove Community Center.

So sorry to hear of Mary's passing. I am going to miss her terribly at the Stone County fair. Mary always had the highest number of exhibits in the fair. She entered an exhibit in just about every Division except livestock. My thoughts and prayers are with your familyðŸ™ðŸ» love and miss you Mary💗
Sorry for your loss. She was a neat lady. We were in rehab together couple years ago.
