John D. Roberts, age 77, of Omaha, Arkansas passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022, at his home. John was born January 30, 1945, in Alpena, Arkansas, the son of O. B. and Dora Lea Bowman Roberts. John was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Annetta Welch and Hazel Henson.
John was a member of the Omaha Church of Christ, Arkansas National Guard, Omaha Fire Department/First Responder, a retired rural mail carrier, enjoyed fishing, Arkansas Razorback sports, and spending time with grandchildren
John is survived by his wife of 55 years, Charlotte Ann Curtis Roberts of the home, whom he married on October 25, 1966, at Omaha, Arkansas; a son, Wesley Roberts of Sparta, Missouri; two daughters, Christy & Joe Hicks of Chadwick, Missouri and Mandy & Lucian Nica of Chesapeake, Virginia and five grandchildren, Zena, Alex, and John Hicks and Clarice and Nicholas Nica.
Visitation was Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral services were Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Omaha Church of Christ with Bill Arnold and Coleman Smith officiating.
Burial was in the Omaha Methodist Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Joe Hicks, John Hicks, Alexander Hicks, Nicholas Herrera, Jordan Methvin, and Dustin Bryant.
So sorry to see this happened. John & Charlotte were such gracious hosts when Mandy brought me home with her when we were in college. Memories of Julio and going out on the river. Such a caring, wonderful family. I know I’ll see him again one sweet day. Thinking of you and praying for peace for you.

So sorry to hear about John's passing. Praying for your comfort and strength. John was a wonderful man and a strong Christian. He is not gone forever. His new address is Heaven and you will see him again.

I am sorry to hear of John’s passing. I always enjoyed visiting with John and Charlotte when we would see each other while out and about. John was a wonderful rural mail carrier for us. Prayers for Charlotte and family.
