of Flippin, AR
July 28, 1953 - June 14, 2022
It is with sadness for those who that will miss him, but also the appreciation of the legacy and impact he left behind, that the family of Gary Thurman Foster of Flippin announces his passing at 68 years old.
He was born July 28, 1953 in Batesville, Arkansas to Thurman Thomas Foster and Laura Leona Talburt Foster. As one of nine children, he is preceded in death by John Foster, Linda Farris, Madeline Strutton and Jerry "Pepper" Foster; but is survived by four sisters, Regina Wilson, Joan Hankins, Jane Rovani and Rhonda Leonard.
On March 3, 1985, Gary illustrated his sales skills, and convinced Debi Jean Foster to join him on an adventure of a marriage that would never be described as boring. During his life he impacted many nieces, nephews and children that passed through his purview, but illustrated what it is meant to be a real dad to his children; Johnathan Wayne Foster, including wife, Stace Stokes Foster, Darla Hulen and Jarred Cantrall. Blessed with big meat paw hands that were not always gentle, he always used them with love for his kids. His bigger than life personality, but even bigger heart, wholly loved his nine grand and two great grandchildren; Devin Hulen, Emily Kyle, Ben Cantrall, Gage Hulen, Abigail Foster, Noah Cantrall, Zachary Foster, Asher Cantrall, Beckham Cantrall, Malakai Hulen and Corey Kyle.
During his 68 years of excitement, he held many professions that typically leaned on his desire to delegate and/or sell his perceived new ideas, leading to 35+ entrepreneurial journeys. These journeys and paths didn't always lead to success, almost always proudly carried his name, sometimes included contributions to gaming institutions and always led to stories.
On the evening of Friday, June 17, 2022 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, there will be a celebration of life and visitation for those friends and families that would like to attend and share stories about Gary with his journey coordinator Debi.

Gary always had big ideas and wasn’t afraid to follow his dreams.. So sorry for the Foster
family.
Debi, I am so sorry about your loss. I will miss Gary a lot. He was such a nice person! He always welcomed me and accepted me - even when others didn't quite know what to do with "that little German girl" many years ago.
Perhaps, Gary and Jerry are meeting up and are going on lots of fishing adventures together! They always talked about that - and didn't get the opportunity.
Our thoughts are with you all!
