of Yellville, AR
September 22, 1940 - June 5, 2022
Joan E. (Hunter) Jiannine is dearly missed.
Born during the Fall of 1941 in Queens, NY with a love for life and an insatiable quest for knowledge her driving force. She passed at home the evening of Sunday, June 5th, 2022 with her son by her side.
Joni was a talented person in every way! Publishing prose and stories, acclaimed Trail of Painted Ponies Artist and Architecture. Her ear for music was impeccable and this she shared with her son, DJ. As a girl she attended rodeos and fell in love with Barrel Racing, winning many ribbons and awards. Her love of horses was surpassed only by her love of family and canines.
Through horses she met, fell in love and married, Jockey Daniel John Jiannine Sr. They visited the Yellville area in the mid 90's and deeply admired the peaceful beauty and Crystal Energy. They moved here soon thereafter.
They are survived by their children, Deborah Joan of Daytona Beach, FL and Daniel John "DJ" of Yellville.
Joni will be forever remembered as a kind, warm human with friendly words, graciousness and a gorgeous smile!
Arrangements are by Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville.
Joni was a good friend and good neighbor. We will miss her.
