Charles Opperman, 82, of Mountain View, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 29, 2022 in his home. Mr. Opperman was born on Thursday, July 27, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Reginald Opperman and Irene Brouty Opperman.
Charles worked for the Pace Regional Transport in Northwest Chicago for thirty-nine years, after which he retired. Then for the next sixteen years he worked for the Blanchard Springs Caverns as Cave Guide and in logistics. He was member of Flatwoods Missionary Baptist Church in Mountain View, Arkansas for many years. Charles was a member of the National Hearse and Ambulance Association, of which he took great pride in. He loved caving and working on his Cadillac Cars.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of over fifty-three years, Janet Opperman; one son, Scott Opperman (Michelle) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two daughters, Tammy Nenni (Mike) of Jay, Florida, Heather Heath (Dan) of Cabot, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Ryker Opperman, Danny Heath, Nick Heath and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mr. Opperman is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harold Opperman and Robert Opperman.
Visitation for Charles will be from 12-2 PM Monday, June 6, 2022 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas. A graveside service will follow at Flatwoods Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Roller-Crouch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
